Default Race Inc GT3 Wheels?

Anyone know anything about Wheel Dynamics version of the 18" GT3 wheel?

I need a set of wheels for the track and I know Volks and CCW's are light weight but was wondering if these might be something to consider?

Your hairs should be standing up telling you to go the other direction. Their price is impossibly low. Trake wheels need to of the best quality so why go with the cheapest? Go with CCW. You won't be disappointed and you will be safer.

I would hate to see how long it takes for those to crack under track pressure.

Just reading their website says it all, they help you achieve that "look".

trust me, it's easy to find lwt wheel and easy to find cheap wheels. but there are no cheap AND lwt wheel (sorry if my tone sound bad, but i am concerned with YOUR safety). sure those MAY work, but i dont want to risk myself, my fellow track driver and my car to test it. CCW and Volks are pretty cheap as far as lwt wheels go and many many ppl races on those things so reputation is there.

another excellent wheel though a bit more money is custom three piece made by jongbloed wheels.

I have 2 sets of Jonbloed wheels and can attest to their high quality, light weight, and strength. They are competetively priced. Nothing we do is cheap. Keep it safe.

I think it would be best for our friend (the original OP) for you to give an operational definition of "competitively priced".

Those are so plainly cast wheels. Cast wheels will not take track duty, they crack when you need them most.

It's not so bad that you'll endanger yourself, think about the cars next to you behind you doing 120 mph........

Forged wheels (much stronger) are not cheap.

Yep, I figured as much that you all are sooooo correct...thnkx!!!! Yeah I am being a cheap tight azz here with this purchase and just need to bite the bullet and get a set of CCW or Volk.

OR

Just keep replacing the street tires on my stock 19" wheels.

Also I got a reply from an email from Wheels Dynamic who sells the Race Inc GT3 wheels and the weights are 25 front and 30 rear.

Good one, Larry! LMAO

RE the Wheel Dynamics wheels... "Run, Forrest, RUN!!!" It sounds like a limited run on a low-bid cast manufacturer.

Race wheel reputations exist for a reason. Don't risk it for your sake and ours.

Cheers

RJFabCar, nope not gonna risk it...just learning lots of stuff here. I'm sort or new to all this as I've only been DE'ing for a year and have moved into the solo group and wore out my stock tires now with the faster speeds. Thanks everyone for all the advice!

I am ordering either CCW or Volks Tuesday...just need to decide on tires to get.
