Default SFR ITE Race #6 - S2000 from the pitlane

Since there was much discussion about a previous race, I figured I'd post this here.

I know Kibort wants to watch it.

I have an S2000 AND a 928, and I have been looking at Corvettes, so that video was very very interesting for me.

damn! nice charge throught the field, rylan. the supercharger did the trick eh? now you can keep up with the big HP cars. all you need are bigger tires up front . congrats

Thats quite a one dimensional comment to make do you think? With the proper set up, the Corvette belongs out there with the rest of them, no?

I've got a big wing too wanna race? The vette is frequently at the front of the pack and is good guy to boot.

The understeer problem turned out to be my caster adjuster bolt had come lose and my caster was changing on me thru the race. I run 275x4 on the s2k now.

Also the SC (with the large 4.25" pulley I'm running 5.75psi. I do have a 3.25" one that is good for about 9) should be making about 325 rwhp. But last race in qual I "money shifted" (5->2 vs 5-4 ) I lost 25 hp. I replaced my retainers and leak down seemed ok, but on the dyno you could see it. So by next race I should have the other 25 hp back.

Do you have the AEM piggy back to control everything? Stock compression?

Is this the first time you got around Kibort?

yes I have an AEM but the engine is an otherwise stock 2.2L.

And no, kibort and I have raced hard for the last ~2 years and have swapped positions many times (even paint once :|) Here is a good video from Race #4 of this year before the SC. (posted here before) http://www.gofastvideo.com/gallery/i...-scca-ite.html

Ah, yes, I remember now.

What about the new hotside Whipple - would you go to that or are you happy with the Vortech?

I guess alms GT1 , speedGT, speedtouring, Grand AM Rolex, have silly cars with wings too!

Both rylan and i wont think that thing is silly next month when he is able to put that 420rwhp do the wheels down the carrocel at Sears Point!!!!

all 4 of us have been running near the same times this season. a ctually, the vet and I were within .003 of a second of each other. HP to weights of all of us are comparable, and if they arent, weight makes up the difference in braking and cornering
camaro 450rwhp
vet 420rwhp
928 300-320 rwhp
s2000 was 250rwhp, now 320rwhp with blower
BMW M3s 285rwhp

times all within a second of each other

This is some really fun racing! (except for the trading paint part, thats not that fun )

those are some big meats for an s2K. are you still racing the hoosiers?

is your SC intercooled? run a 3.25" pulley with meth/water injection

Yeah its Intercooled. and in the race int he video I had 299 hp. If I ran a 3.25" pully I'd probably be lapping by myself. I don't want that.

Rylan
That was a sweet race.........its cool seeing so many different "sports cars" out there racing.....new S2000's, vettes and M3's against 928's, Rx7's & old Z's (new ones too).....its just so cool watching real world cars battling out on the track....

You gotta wonder though.....a new Z06 with hoosiers, race brake pads & fluid...stripped interior, coilovers, big cams and race exhaust putting down 600whp......thats gotta fly around the track!!
