Sean bought one, Gary used one, so I bought one and can NOT believe I ever drove without it on track at speed......as the old adage goes, "how much is your head worth?"

R3 here. As an instructor, I wanted to be protected when in riding in cars with standard 3 point belts. Now that I've changed cars from my Z06 with race seats and 6 point harnesses to a C4S with standard seats and 3 points, I'll be able to attend until I decide to change the stock setup out.

I'm getting used to mine... After 7 days at events, it's become "normal"... get the quick release teathers... Need a set myself... Royal pain snapping in at pit lane, but it's down right dangerous drivng with the teathers connected while in the paddock.

Or in this case, Spine/neck! I believe they'll become as common as wearing a helmet!

This is my 3rd season w/ a HANS. I found after a couple weekends I could hook and unhook the regular (not QR) tethers w/o any problems, even wearing gloves

At this point I can't imagine racing without some H&N protection system.

I got the quick release tethers with mine but i find them pretty useless. The tethers end up flying around everywhere, I don't see how you would be able to find them in an emergency exit.

I would have thought that but with the same person wrenching my belts as tight as his 200 pounds can the pads put the HANS in a bad postions for me and it's uncomfortable. For some reason my seating position and body contour in my FC is perfect for no pads.

I wear a HANS, but, now that I am instructing, I wish I had purchased an R3...soon...

OK, how about an oil viscosity discussion then

Still have no idea why H&N restraints cause boxsters to get in a bunch sometimes.
