Default Goodbye Lime Rock Park! Hello, Lime Rock Country Club!!!

In an announcement due to be released tomorrow, Skip Barber will be announcing that Lime Rock as we know (and love or hate it, pick one), will become an automotive country club, similar to Autobahn in the Midwest and the proposed Monticello, NY country club.

The buy in is $100K.

Paved, or the current off-road course?

That won't help Alpine!

I think i'll take the Monticello "Drive and Race Club" track for $7500 per year and drive by LRP with a one finger wave on the way up...

I like Lime Rock, but for 100K I think I can do a bit better....

That "club" is a $100k membership as well, with $7500 yearly dues.

Can anyone else confirm this to be true before any announcement? WHy would the announcement be on a weekend? Is there an event its being press released at or something?

Depending on what they do to it, could be very interesting. You've got to think there would be some significant upgrades involved. Could be great - especially if they rent out to PCA.

Yep, they are going to widen, repave, move the guardrails and tire walls back 200 feet, put in gravel traps, and then add tennis courts, a 5 star restaurant, pool, clubhouse, and a bocce court!
