Cups & Saucers is mid May - there's a sticky note at the top of this forum. Sold out, but a waiting list just started and usually people drop out for one reason or another. It's all advanced broken into 2 run groups only - so you get so much track time you probably have to take a siesta after lunch.

I've only been to the Glen 3x, so I'm not intimate yet with the nuances. But the M3 was so nice and neutral with 4x 265 PSCs squaring things up a bit vs. stock tires. The softness of the stock suspension might have been slightly to my advantage in some spots - I was able to go Flat from the apex at Turn 1 all the way through to the Bus Stop. Got hairy cresting the hill through the esses but otherwise was rock solid. We'll see how the stock 997S does next month

Should be the same Ron, you just described the standard... Get the "Secrets of the Glen" DVD, while not great it does reinforce some things (and they drive it in a BMW!).. Best part for me was the history piece included with it.

The history was about all it was worth. Did you time the hot laps? 2:35s. Puh..lease.

A friend bought that dvd last year at The Glen on the recommendation of the classroom instructor. He watched it and next time at The Glen asked for his money back along with a comment to the effect "... I also want my 2 hours back..." He said the same - the history was interesting, but the driving wasn't worth the time to watch.

I do not disagree with the comments on Secrets of the Glen, but then I had driven the Glen with several really good instructors before I watched it. What do you think of the video for someone who has not been on the track before, Glen or otherwise? More useful than Skip Barber: Going Faster which was mostly shot at LRP?

Again, it is not especially well done BUT if you have never driven the Glen it is helpful. For a "general" instructional tool to someone new "Going Faster" is 100% better, regardless of the track. Get the book and DVD..
