The bodywork on # 52 /935 seems to be all wrong . the car appears to sit too high and the front is skewed, must have been an handful at speed ...

I know that car. Out of the same shot as mine, Looks like he may of tapped something with the front as it fits much better than the pix shows.

That's true, probably because your head was being pushed back from the incredible speed you were carrying!!!

Finn, I would say I was exceptionally slow until the last session of Saturday. I was running around 2:45/7 during that session. The 10AM on Sunday was an absolute blast and I ended up overcooking it going into T10 so I went off carefully onto that concrete. I was running somwhere around 2:40 according to pops during that session. That 930 with original suspension and brakes and the new exhaust is a real handful, sort of like trying to strangle a wet piece of soap at least for me. I gridded in the third row the last session, and I probably worked through 1/2 the second row cars before my "overcooking."

I have to say it is pretty humbling when you are out there with Finn. Here you are, thinking you are doing pretty well. Yeah, I feel comfortable, I have gotten by a few cars. Cool. Then you look up, and you see that black hood filling your mirror!

I would also like to add that not only does each driver go through T17 differently, I am convinced I have never gone through T17 the same twice.

Andrew, "if you never spin or go off, you're not trying hard enough"... I had one minor off at T13, just came in little too fast and didn't want to risk it (by forcing the car tu turn to stay on track) so went out a little, just two wheels and didn't even have to slow down much and kept driving. All in good fun!

I don't think I've ever gone through 17 the same line either, and don't have a clue what's faster... I think pretty much everyone has plenty of different lines through there.

A past instructor, I believe Bob Van Epps, once told me "the right line through 17 is the line that keeps you off the wall".

Manny:

Sorry to hear of the troubles ... enduros seem very loooooooooooooong when you're out at the beginning [BTDT]

"stranded" ... must be the fuel pump or IM gaskets knowing 'burbans.

Seacay:

Nice pics! Want to pratice for the night enduro at the HSR Sebring event ...? Might be tough to get any decent pics except perhaps at T1 and or the hairpin. [or the start of the grid into T1].

We'll see you at the HSR event. Come by and introduce yourself. [running two 911s] Jim and Jason Scott.

Cheers.

That's too bad Manny. I had some Fiske valve stems there.

SeaCay, great pictures. Too bad I missed you down there. How is that 951 treating you?

Chris:

I have quite a few shots of your beast on the track. I'll get in touch with you later regarding these.

I actually had a few 911 guys stop me in the paddock and ask about the 951. Nice!
