Really...how bad is Seneca Lodge?

I have always booked the Seneca. Last year I decided to go the A-frame route because I wasn't sure if the dog was coming or not. My A-frame had squirrels, hornets, mice or something in the ceiling and it kept me up most of the three nights. I'm going back but in the motel rooms this time.
