No, that's a great goal actually. Get faster with less HP, then crank it up as I improve. I understand the rationality of it. Now I just have to fight my impatience, and irrationality. That love of boost!

Gary -

Here I was trying to do the "go slower to go faster" schtick. Detune, lower the boost, go back to street tires, practice momentum ....... and then you go and throw down the gauntlet!

That's it. Bring it on, Big Bird! (canary yellow car) I'll tape an orange pylon to your spoiler as a beak, and I swear it would be a spitting image ....

Seriously, you're too fast for me to lap you. Well, more than once. Twice max. DOH!

And it's Geschwindigkeit-Gelb... Not Kanarienvogel-Gelb...

You better be nice or I will call my previous WGI garage bud and have him take care of you!

Gazunteit. Try some Nyquil.

I give, I give! Pushed back on in 2 different languages. Not bad.

Please, not the GT! Anything but that.

You KNOW I love your car. I actually miss it. Light, tossable, great balance of power and handling - and then you made it even better!

Nonsense, he's never seen sub 2:10 in his life...

I did run 2:09.1 in my Turbo 3.6: 3284# on MPSCs and with stock headers! (355hp is book for that car).

So Doctor, you're not saying motorsport folks might stretch the truth at all, are you?

Almost as bad as fishermen ....

Nice time in relatively stock form, Charlie!

Well, some might, but since the PCA race results are public domain out on the PCA website and mylaps.com, it is hard to fib on those*. The DE crowd is a whole 'nother story...

Hey, I have never claimed a sub 2:10, but then again I have never driven a car faster than my current 964T with all of 315 factory rated hp. I'd wager that with 500hp, a good suspension & tires, and ~3100lbs, you are talking about times in the 2:02 range.

My best at the Glen is 2:10.271, and can be found here

Speaking as "Etc", I think 2:13-2:15. The PSS9 is fairly soft and street tires hurt you. I ran 2:14ish with stock suspension and DSSRs (imo, barely R compound tire) and everything else stock (similar weight, etc) in my Turbo 3.6 with "only" 355hp.

Larry, no ego on times, just the facts, man...

EXACTLY. That is a great video.

Notice that Scott is on the brakes a little too long in the bus stop, and the camera car really catches him up there by getting off the brakes sooner. Then, Scott seems to overslow a bit into 5, but then pulls nicely out of 6. Scott's real advantage seems to be in 9 & 10, where he carries a whole lot more speed....which he takes with him thru 11 and all the way into 1.
