A herd of turtles are migrating to Central Florida and Sebring, along with plenty of other Rennlist contributors, for the first Club Race of the new year.

This is way cool! I will probably fly the banner close to my rig, I'll be there sometime Thursday afternoon! We all got to meet!!!

Its a fun track, I did my first clubrace at sebring and had no prior experience there. Watchout for turn 1, I remember during the practice starts I saw bunch of room on the outside, and passed 4 or 5 cars. I then realized why no one else was there, as the track severely narrows up coming off the runway and into the rest of the course. I bumped along in the sand @60mph then eventually got back on track.

I'm counting down the days!

Sloth

I humbly submit my HWFM team application based on...

1) My screen handle (Sloth) embodies the true spirit of slowness as one of the slowest moving creatures in the world. I use the sloth technique to achieve the slowest lap times with the highest HP car. I feel that the turtle and the sloth are kindred souls on the racetrack.

2) During races I get passed by many lower class cars like I am standing still. As mentioned in the "Sebring Predictions" thread and based on prior experience I offer my skills as the team "rolling chicane".

3) With time and experience, most folks move up to faster class cars. With time and experience, I moved to a slower class car. (see point #2)

3) In the interest of full disclosure, I have taken two class wins in my race career. A third in class and a first in class. However, these wins were under circumstances of high attrition... Believe me when I say all races were finished in true HWFM form at the back of the pack. In fact, I was DFL of all the cars that took the flag when I came in third and was the only car in my class to start when I took first. IOW, due to my sloth technique my car lasted longer than their car (see point #1).

A 6 pack of fine German wheat beer is standing by the fax machine.

Nice essay, you make very good selling points... I think You ARE worthy of membership so you got the seal of approval from my end. As for the beer...I will take it cold in a few days at sebring thank you very much
