I mean the entire PCA sucks, why would the racing arm be any different?

Dynojet with specific settings is standardized.
6 classes, Run watcha brung.
Agreed, the NASA ST class rules really seem to work well.

HPDE doesn't suck
Rallies don't suck
AutoX doesn't suck
Holiday Parties don't suck
Instructor Seminars don't suck (Great guest speakers and all)
DE Driver Seminars don't suck (Great guest speakers and all)
I don't race, but 99% of the Club Racers I know say it doesn't suck, matter of fact, they say they live for it, same way I live for instructing at the track
Rabid dogs piling on the rabbit, that sucks!!

Maybe that was sarcasm?
Sometimes it doesn't translate well into print.

I've had nothing but great interactions with (The?) PCA.
Crappy ones with (The?) BMWCCA Club Racing bureaucracy, which approximately paralleled Luigi's latest PCA Club Race experiences.
And reminded me stink-for-stink of every dealing I've ever had with local city governments.

I didn’t detect sarcasm. Wish I did.
The BMW? The PCA? What’s next, The Rennlist?

Agree with The “great interaction”.

See what I did there?

Ha! Even I don't say that.

Most of PCA is great, some parts can use some change, and some parts suck, same as any organization.

PCA members are great but every so often you encounter someone from The PCA.

So PCA may be pretty good, but The PCA sucks hard.

The ratio of the former to the latter is easily 100 to 1 in my experience. That's better than the ******** percentage in the general population. Seems like a stretch to say the PCA sucks. There can be individual instances where it sucks, like anything else, but it seems pretty pointless (and inaccurate) to say the PCA sucks in the abstract. I suspect most agree that the PCA has 95-99% of what it does right. Far, far better than any other car club I've been involved with from every perspective (type of events, quality of events, quantity of events, cost, people, etc.).

Seems like Value Appreciation is also the enemy, the 15000 dollar Porsche's from 10 to 20 years ago are now 100K .... Harder not to cry if you screw up.
And other marques have stepped up, there are a lot of cheaper cars out there that are fun on a track day.
A 5 year old nascar road race chassis pre rule change with a decent crate motor is attractive for easy cheep maintenance and you still pop 160 on a straight..
