Perez just sealed his fate. RB need to hand the keys to Lawson, although Max and Jos might have veto power over the choice of Max’s backup driver, because in reality that’s what the 2nd seat is currently.

Really wild quali. Hope the race is even close to that level.

Yet another crash for Sergio Perez, whose future looks more uncertain than ever.
Yet, the Red Bull driver reckons "it will be even sweeter" to prove his detractors wrong when he regains his form.
Lol 😂, surprised Perez didn’t blame the team for giving the upgrades to Max and not him. Sergio hasn’t gotten out of Q1 in 4 of the last 6 race weekends. But he leads all drivers in crash damage against the cap. As of Monaco he was at 2.5 m British Pounds and he had crashed since that weekend. Unless the performance clause provides sponsorship money at 3X what his damaged car bulls are, he’s got to go by summer break.

Perez won’t be back after the summer break. Fini.
Go McLaren! It doesn’t matter rain or dry. They will get the win. Unless they make a bungled strategy call.

Honestly, demotion would be a kindness for Checo at this point. Like it was for Gasly.
He won't have the confidence to drop the kids off at school if this continues.

What does everyone have to say about Max's radio today? "You gave me this $@!% strategy, I'm just trying to rescue it!" and his one's about minus brake bias were particularly good.

Max's lunge on Hamilton shows that he let his frustration get the better of him. I hope the wheels do not start to fall off his train and the race season moves on.
Perez should not be demoted - he should be bounced out of F1.

If the RB does continue to have issues, and if the WDC really tightens up; (I’m doubtful given Verstappen’s skillset that at this point he can be beaten), then McLaren with their BS call may well rue asking Lando to let Piastri past given that Lando was far quicker. The team made the call to pit Lando first to cover Lewis; Piastri then made a mistake which cost him his much bigger lead over Lando, and hence when Piastri pitted, Lando took the lead. WTF were they thinking that it was appropriate to ask Lando to let Piastri past when Lando was 5 seconds ahead and pulling away?!?
Regardless, it was a damn good race in many ways, and as I’ve mentioned before, when Max doesn’t get to put the car in cruise control and have a 20 second lead he decompensated. It was and will always going to happen.
