I have used them for the past several years. Other than looking like tractor tires and as a result being noisy, they are a good compromise tire. They are good in the rain, they wear well for r compound tires and can be used on both street and track. They have similar grip to a Toyo and don't seem to be as affected by track/tire temp as Hoosiers or MPSC. For a DE car where you don't want to swap wheels and tires, they work great. I got about 18 track days out of them which included driving to and from the track as well as any other street driving I did. They are much better on the track than a VR or ZR street tire.

I liked mine fine, but am going to Toyos for more grip (hopefully). I will find out tomorrow at FATT (but on the waiting list).

Quite a few racers use them as a rain tire. As Geoffrey mentioned they are very, very loud, but wear very well.

Good price, good compromise, predictable behaviour, limited "rock blasting" for everyday use, VERY loud for everyday driving.

IMO when you get miles on them, you'll thinking you have a busted CV...

I use them for DE, Autocross and daily driving during the summer. With about 3 autocrosses, 7 hours of DE and about 4k street miles from last summer they are still only about half worn. They are very predictable, work well in the rain and grip very well when they heat up. I don't really mind the noise but I will agree with the others in saying that they are noisy. The noise did seem to decrease somewhat after they were broken in.

The tire comes in a soft and a hard compound. I ran the hard compound as I was worried about them coming apart on the high speed tracks and or wearing too quickly. I have heard that the soft compound is a second or two quicker but I don't have any personal experience to back this up.

In my opinion, this is an excellent all around buy for a weekend DE user. Especially if you don't want to constantly swap tires between events.

Looks like people have gotten to these points, but I'll repeat them for emphasis.

I used these last year for DE. 12 DE days plus 3k road miles and they were shot.

Noisy.
Wear very well.
Good grip. Much better than my street tires.
Everyone says they have less grip then MPSCs or Hoosiers

The 'S' compound is the autocross compoind and the 'R' compound is the road course compound.
