My understanding is that they will add significant turtles or sausages to keep drivers from just using the extra concrete as additional track.

Despite it’s apparent simplicity, the Bus Stop at Daytona is one of the greatest variables in driver skill execution on that track, besides T1 braking and T6 in general.

The difference between good and great drivers going INTO this and making the direction change from end of left entry to turning right to get out, is HUGE. Sort of like the Glen but harder...

I guess that’s why the bus top seems hard to me. Others seem to sail right through it. I can’t figure it out. I don’t think I’ve once felt good going through there.

On the Continent, I think they call them "Sleeping Policemen."

I hope they nail some mattresses on the outside concrete barrier because that last sausage will launch cars pretty far.

Is this a permanent change or something they installed for Nascar after the Clash was such a mess?

There will be tire marks on those sausages in no time at all.....anti-tank spikes may be the only thing that might work.

They'll tear up some splitters/floors/diffusers very badly, too.

That may be the point...

That is not going to stop them....just make them wonder where the car will land.

Where does one go to buy sausage parts? As quickly as they were installed, Daytona must have had them already sitting in a warehouse nearby.

My line is half grass in, half grass out. Not totally on purpose. Just happens that way.
