Garmin Marq Driver Watch
Recently bought the Garmin Marq Driver watch on an impulse buy a few weeks back .
Pandemic boredom...
Used it for the first time yesterday at Homestead. Still working things out but turns out it is accurate to a tenth of my AIM system and gives a decent amount of information , most interestingly for me, heart rate, breathing rate , calories expended, and estimated sweat /fluid loss.
Also gives the driven line per lap, max speed , avg speed ,temp, elevation change, total distance , number of laps .
While you can view some of this on the watch, to small for old eyes, it automatically syncs when connected to Garmin's dedicated app and you see it on the cloud through Chrome. Charts , graphs and all. Looks like it uses Google maps for driven line, elevation etc.
The techies out there will likely be able to tell us more.
Cheers
Pretty cool...

I was there myself yesterday, what were you driving?
That watch looks cool, but shocked at the cost. I was using a Garmin Catalyst in the car, which is a bargain at $1K in comparison. Though I have always wondered about my heart rate and calorie burn on track. What were those results?

Yellow GT4, ran intermediate because I find banking boring. 11,12,13 a great corner complex.
20 minute session average results ;
150 + calories burned, heart rate average 125, high 155. I'm 59 in decent shape , a bit of well earned ballast...
I'm told there may be a version that is 400 bucks less without the titanium band. Not cheap but pretty impressive tool.

I've seen those watches and they look cool. I put all the biometrics - HR, calorie burn, exertion, etc - into data systems. It gets really interesting. I can do breathing rate as well, I wonder how they are doing it from the watch.

I was in advanced and agree with you about the banking, not all that exciting. I thought about dropping to intermediate to run the full infield but was worried about traffic, it looked pretty crowded in your group. Complete opposite in my group, I was alone other than a GT3 that I saw once per session. Any idea what the lap difference is between the roval and infield in a GT4? I was thinking roval should be about 2 seconds faster but I'm just guessing?

Closer to 5 seconds.
Traffic was not great. A Carrera S was playing train engine and the red open wheel car was being driven by a novice and he was problematic as well.
Spoke to Henry but the girl in the NASCAR Car wanted banking. Otherwise he would changed advanced to the infield .
Your car sounded strong coming off the banking.

I wear a FitBit watch and it is really interesting to see where my heartrate is during a race. Whoever says racing is not a real sport should see what my heart is doing when I am out on track.
