Canceled?
Canceled? Agreed, the PCA GGR Club Race is canceled, me and a few others are hoping that the May 19th Northern CA Racing Club event HPDE event may happen. In my gut I know it will be canceled...but there is that outside chance. It i=t is, then June....12,13,14 with Speed Ventures and POC will hopefully come off.
In the meantime, there are lots of back roads outside my town where I can engage in some spirited driving. In fact I am going to head out today for the long, long way to the grocery store.

The SCCA - SARRC/MARRS Challenge at VIR on May 9-10 has just been cancelled.
Our Gov. issued a Stay At Home Order that runs through June 10th. There's a little intrigue with that particular date, though.

We just enjoy driving and this is disappointing however.....what a few unelected doctors and their bad data have done to ruin our economy and forever change our country will be talked about for decades.....IMHO.

Was just poking around on ClubReg out of boredom and saw that the Road Atlanta club race has been rescheduled to the last weekend in September. Nice that they were able to get another date, as I understand that the Daytona race was cancelled because the track pulled the date to hold it for any pro series that might get need to get rescheduled

Not being able to go to the track for a long time, amplified by the boredom of social distancing, makes me realize how much I want to go to the track.

SRO AMERICA AND LIME ROCK PARK CANCEL TOURING CAR FESTIVAL
Lime Rock Park Closure Extended Until May 20, 2020
LAKEVILLE, Conn. (April 14, 2020)—After reviewing possible dates and struggling with a crowded schedule in the second half of the year, SRO America and Lime Rock Park have agreed to cancel the 2020 Touring Car Festival. It was previously announced that the weekend, originally scheduled for May 8-9, 2020, would be rescheduled due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus crisis; unfortunately, all rescheduling options were exhausted.
“We appreciate the commitment to the event by the entire Lime Rock Park staff,” shared SRO America President and CEO Greg Gill. “We kept juggling calendar dates, but inevitably, it was decided that the best approach for a successful Touring Car Festival was to move on to planning for the 2021 season.”
TC America Series Director Jim Jordan added, “We are disappointed with this cancellation, but we look forward to working with Lime Rock Park on a 2021 event. I think next year’s event can be even bigger and better with the debut of the new BMW M2 TC class car, and additional growth in all the SRO TC America classes.”
Fans who have previously purchased tickets for this event will receive a communication regarding their options and next steps in the coming days.
Additionally, Lime Rock Park has extended its temporary closure through May 20, 2020, in accordance with a recent Executive Order issued by Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont, which closes all non-essential businesses across the state in the effort to prevent the transmission of COVID-19.
This will affect any previously scheduled track rentals at the facility through May 20. Park staff will continue to work within the “Stay Safe, Stay Home” policy and are available to address questions by emailing info@limerock.com or by calling (860) 435-5000, Mon. - Fri., 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Lime Rock Park continues to place a priority on the health and safety of our staff, fans, spectators and competitors. We hope that you and your family remain safe and well during the COVID-19 crisis.
