Has anyone tried the newest Hoosier R compound tire yet?
I noticed on the GrassRoots magazine add that they have steel belts instead of the fiberglass belts in the traditional R3s03/A3s03
Supposedly they are supposed to be better for turn in and longevity!
I'd love to hear if anyone has had a chance to try them yet and what they think!

I just ordered a set, and will use them at the NASA Nashville race next weekend, I'll let you know. Tire Rack says they are great, we'll see.

These have been recommended to me for replacements for my 032s. The problem is I don't own a trailer and the track is about 50 miles away. Should I go to Toyos for that journey or do you think these new Hoosiers will weather the drive out and back? Thanks.

I have driven to and from the track on Hoosiers without any issues (dry days of course) You will notice they pick up every single little bump because of the stiff sidewall.

I would think these newest Hoosier's are going to be friendlier on the drive to/from the track due to the steel belts instead of fiberglass belts... but that is just a wild guess...

I dorve to Road Atlanta in my RSA on a set of Hoosiers once. Not bad going but it rained on the way back. Not a good experience.
