And aero isn't really the worst of what makes Monaco unsuitable for F1. The F1 cars have grown to be close to 2.5 to 3 ft wider than an F1 car that raced at Monaco in the 1950's while the track remains, for the most part, original at the width of a two lane road. Technically, the circuit of Monaco (3361m) does not even meet the minimum circuit length of 3.5 km required by F1. Also, no corner is to be within the first 250m after the finish line. Monaco is 111m.
But alas, relief may be relief in the offing for Ferrari. Formula One locks the teams into participation only until the end of 2020. That is not that far away.
Has Mercedes won enough yet? There is increasing talk that Mercedes will exit F1 after that date, potentially remaining as an engine supplier, given that all heavy development expenditure has been incurred over the past 10 years, and the engine regulations will be relatively stable until at least 2025. I see light at the end of the tunnel for the Tifosi? Or, is that just a train headed their way?

I am just in amazement at the stewards' interpretation of this.
I don't fault LEW: VET would have also called it in to control if the roles were reversed.

It doesn't look like F1 is hurting too much in the Mercedes era...very soon HAM will be commanding $100Mm/year to drive!

It's been a great race; lots of overtaking, accidents, exciting battles, and even an unexpected winner seeing how things were with 90% of the race behind.
What? F1? No, no, I'm talking about the 24 hours of Nürburgring. What a race!
I like Castellet a lot, but this has been a(nother) boring F1 race. There hasn’t been much public either (no wonder; the French Motorsport fans have just spent their annual racing budget on the much more exciting Le Mans race), so I don’t see a very bright future for the French GP.

Yeah; the stands weren't very packed.
Most exciting thing of the race was Norris' broken car and the passing that happened afterwards. Of course, we had to wait until after the "battle" between the the shaw of clerks and merc2 to see that footage. Why do I keep watching this garbage.
Yes, 24 hours last night was 40,000,000 times more entertaining.

Woke up and actually watched the entire F1 race...sort of.....wife usually watches too...it put her to sleep...
Wife wakes up during the podium anthem and says...I see there is no BOP in F1. I about fell over laughing...she does pay attention!
