Hamilton’s tires were really dead at the end of the race. That someone can stay in front for so many laps with such tires speaks volumes about how difficult it is to overtake in Monte Carlo; nearly impossible.

Danny Ric did it last year when he lost 160hp due to an electrical failure. The only way to pass is to send it like Max except not bump the car in front of you.

Thanks for the update guys. I didn’t record the race again but by chance I happen to walk by a place that was showing it live on one of their TVs. I took a glance, saw it was lap 18 of 78 and who was in the top 5 spots and continued to walk - wasted only 20 seconds of my life and don’t miss it.

Well it was another snooze fest. F1 management really needs to adjust the formula because the current one isn't working. A few laps of racing at the beginning, followed by parade laps, followed by a time trial session at the end as mid pack drivers go for that fast lap point. It's getting almost comical at this point. Bernie's idea of turning sprinklers on to spice things up is starting to look good at this point...Just kidding.
This current state of F1 is disappointing since I have been an avid fan since 1992 when a friend got me into it.
Meanwhile at Indy there was actual racing. Indy Car is putting out an excellent product. Just wish they would have more than one chassis available and would be nice to see one or two more engine supplier.

I have been watching more and more Indy Car but the biggest problem is that I have no interest in oval tracks. After driving Daytona a few times I do have respect for driving an oval but I find it visually unappealing to watch on TV.
If Indy only raced road courses I would be a bigger fan but that is not their DNA.

^^^^ Yes! When F1 went back to wider slicks, wasn't that the intent? More mechanical grip and less aero dependent? Still doesn't seem to be the case since the cars still can't run close together for very long without eating up their front tires. They also keep letting teams ad more aero bits to the car.
