Co-driver and I are looking forward to the sprints and the enduro.

I know very well how hard it is to make these events work, and I'm glad to join you at your 24th. That's a GREAT record!

We’re hoping our new mid-May date will bring us some better weather and we are excited to add the Vintage racers to the schedule. We’ve also invited the 944Cup, 911Cup, Triple Trefeo and 911 Club Sport series to run with us. And a big thanks to the Northern New Jersey Region for teaming up with us this year and hosting the Advanced/Solo DE part of the weekend.

Come out and help me keep this race alive.

Registration for the Club Race opens at 10pm Eastern tonight.

I hope to see you there.
NNJR rocks!!!

Can't wait for this event. Mid-O newbie gets to cross off another bucket list track. Psyched!!

FYI, Quality Inn is sold out for the 3 days of this event.

Comfort Inn still has track rate rooms available at $125/night.

I though I had booked Quality Inn a couple of weeks ago and going over the paperwork for the event, I didn't find a confirmation from Quality.

When I called, they said they got the reservation but wasn't paid for so they didn't confirm it. Guess I screwed up.

Regardless, they are now sold out but Comfort Inn across the street still has the Club rates on a few rooms so I booked there.

Looking forward to my first trip to Mid-O. Psyched.

Just checked to see that I got a confirmation from the Qauality Inn. Whew!

BTW, is refuelling allowed in the 70-minute enduro?

Apparently, I got distracted while making my online reservation and never finished it. For a few more bucks, I am at Splash World Comfort Inn across the street with a bunch of rabid kids going nuts at a waterpark? Yay me.

Yes, there will be a mandatory 5-min pit stop with refueling allowed for the 70-min enduro.

Stupid Fast Tires will be providing tire support at the track for the weekend. They are out of Medina, Ohio and carry Hoosier, Pirelli & Toyo race tires only. However, they will service all brands and types of tires at the track.

You can pre-order race tires that will be brought to the track by calling Aaron Quine at (330) 573-4338

Do you expect Frisby to have their transporter there also?

Yes - Frisby Tire plans to be there.

We have a lot of tire support - now we need more racers!

I have been thinking that the attendance is likely down because the local guys kick *** on the track and people got tired of coming to this race just to get schooled. It is unfortunate that the back half of the track is so technical that the home field advantage is just too much for most travelers to overcome. I think the best way to raise the numbers is to work on the "local" DE guys to get more of them into racing.

Just an observation from a non-racer who makes the trip to Mid-O often enough to almost be a "local" PCA has a lot of competition there from NASA Racing who normally does three (very well-populated) race weekends per season, plus the week-long NASA Nationals are at the track this year. I drove at the Friday HPDE/TnT prior to last week's race weekend and there were a ton of Porsches there in different classes. You also have the SCCA Ohio Valley and Cincy Regions doing multiple events there. So if someone's looking for alternatives to PCA CR at that track for whatever reason, they certainly do exist.....

That said, I certainly hope the numbers improve as IMO the Mid-Ohio Region is among the best--I drive at their DEs whenever possible. They are very well-organized and the people are just fantastic

Gary
....can't wait to drive with them next weekend!
