Default Help with clubs at Lime Rock for DE

I have done a handful of DEs in my 993 through my local PCA chapter, all great experiences, i am looking into getting a miata track car but my club only allows Porsches.
Does anyone know a good club that is comparable to PCA to do DE's in a car like a Miata, I want to find a club where i will still have a driving instructor and similar groupings by skill level
Many thanks

I suggest looking at the Apex Driving Events, SCDA, NCR PCA, and COM if they go.

Whatever you get I recommend that it be able to pass sound during muffled days. I ran at LRP with NASA but it was unmuffled.

The ONLY PCA Region I have found in the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic area that does not allow off-marque cars at Limerock (they do admit them everywhere else) is CT Valley Region. As a PCA member you can run with any PCA region's events while staying with CT Valley (or you can switch affiliations with little effort, but not necessary). Add to that list all the other clubs that run at Limerock and you and your Miata most likely could be at Limerock 30 times per season easily.

In my opinion, part of the challenge in learning a new, less powerful platform, is bootstrapping your knowledge of how incredibly capable these chassis are, IF driven with efficiency and commitment.

The resources present at SCDA events, especially in the form of Elivan Goulart, the principal, make it a MUST do for someone wanting to become facile with this platform, in particular. Really a game changer, as Gary says.

While a LOT of people now call themselves "coaches" when in fact they are focused on demonstrating "do as I do," Elivan is a GIFTED coach, great communicator and far more interested in YOUR improvement than showing off mad skillz. A true professional.

NNJR would be glad to have you. We have our LRP DE event usually in April. Reg is on MSR. Come join us, or any of the other PCA regions that allow other Marques.

Speaking of Lime Rock, what is the latest info on noise level tolerance? Last time we were there back in July stock Cayman's with no exhaust mods were getting black flagged and we were told there is a neighbor who is really putting them to the screws to enforce 88DB. Has that continued?

All you said, Peter, and he WINS RACES. Elivan's the real deal, and a hell of a nice guy to boot.

And as the driver of a low-hp Mini I can certainly identify with the OP; as you say, those cars are raced ad finitum for a reason and are a tremendous platform for the track.

Elivan taught us the miata secret handshake through the wgi bus stop.

Besides scda, We're partial to Hudson Valley and Metro region events ar LRP.
