Not the way Ford totally made a farce out of it in 2016 - that was a joke. Belive the newBOP rule of potential stop and holds during the reace is because of Ford.

Re: BOP, bear in mind it’s not just about lap times but about refueling rate and capacity as well. Ford had their fuel capacity reduced by two liters for Le Mans. Whether it played a role or not in the race I haven’t bothered to try to analyze. One thing is clear is that GT Pro teams have got a lot more skilled at running flat out for 24hrs.

Nobody likes BOP but the alternative is teams that dominate for extended periods as we’ve seen in F1. No easy answer.

Now about that fight that broke out on Sunday night between Porsche and Toyota mechanics....
ACO has prettymuch standardized pit stops to - a miminim time limit and maximum number of laps. Some what dissappointing in that takes away a lot of ptential race strategy.

Yup. Merely pointing out that there are multiple ways they get to their NASCAR-like BOP formula. At least they’re not templating cars yet......
