Poor Seb. Wasn’t on the winning team when they let Ford win for their 50th and wasn’t on the winning team when Porsche won for their 70th. Maybe he just needs to make better decisions.
Re: BOP, bear in mind it’s not just about lap times but about refueling rate and capacity as well. Ford had their fuel capacity reduced by two liters for Le Mans. Whether it played a role or not in the race I haven’t bothered to try to analyze. One thing is clear is that GT Pro teams have got a lot more skilled at running flat out for 24hrs.
Nobody likes BOP but the alternative is teams that dominate for extended periods as we’ve seen in F1. No easy answer.
Now about that fight that broke out on Sunday night between Porsche and Toyota mechanics....
