1985 IAA, 1985 Tokyo Motor Show, 1986 NAIA Chicago - Presentation of the 959
The production car was revealed for the first time in 1985 as a 1986 model at the 1985 IAA in Frankfurt, Germany. (if someone has other photos of the 959 from the 1985 IAA please post and/or send them to me) The production car is in the background, and the famous "cut-away" car is in the foreground.

RM is auctioning a 959 with an estimate of $1.1-1.4. Should be an interesting result. However from what I've seen, for some reason RM never gets high numbers with the 959, all the record 959 prices have been with Gooding.
