I want to say I think I thought I maybe perhaps saw a picture of the striped green car. Is it dark green? I could be mistaking the picture for the non-striped dark green car.

Not every 959 had this item that he personally made.
Here are some other versions:

I came across some pictures I took a few months back in the 'Porsche Experience Center" in Atlanta of a 959 that is a bit more special than just your regular run-of-the-mill 959.

Again - a vast amount of knowledge you have of these cars!

So is that BBS wheel a 'standard' 959 option? Or was that something only Werk 1 would do via extra special request? I understand the 959 probably blurs the lines a bit between 'standard' and 'Special Wishes.'

Were the BBS's also designed for the Denloc tires, or no?

FWIW, one source states that the remaining (or rather, secret) colors are "Sahara Beige, Royal Blue, and Silk Green," the first two of which appear to be Porsche colors.

See here, and scroll down to about halfway: http://www.speedhunters.com/2015/04/...tmotive-mecca/

Hope you don't mind I keep testing your knowledge!

Here are lots of pictures of the orange interior: http://www.4legend.com/2015/techno-c...gallery/page/1

There is a gallery all the way at the bottom. When you click for the second page of the gallery, it reloads at the top and you have to scroll down again, oddly.

Saw five 959's today at Canepa's, in various phases of restoration... followed one out also.

While the 918 is a very beautiful car, the 959 just stirs me from inside...the 959 is officially on my cars to own list.

there was no comparison in level of build quality between the countach and the 959. kit car vs precision production. eye-opening.

Apparently it went for 1.25M. An absolute killer-deal for the buyer if you ask me...

The reason it sold for 'cheap' was its a federalized car, which was equipped with emission systems that make it California compliant upon its importation. Now that the 25 year law is in effect 959's which were federalized go for much less than unmolested examples.
