While I dont disagree about your conclusion regarding PAG - the post is misleading - non metallic PTS was a $15,500 option on the CGT in 2005.

$60k+ for paint on any car is just plain stupid IMO.

This car would have been closer to $1m last year... under 2k miles, asking $699k... at the dealer...
10% room for negotiation and 10% room for profit... do the math... this car is in the 5s...
this is a 30%+ correction ... I'm just saying...

ummmmmmmm this was never a million dollars man.... Not sure where you were but maybe 2-3 cars traded in that range. I would say 800-850 sold was realistic at the very peak for this car. List at 699k is right on the money. Things traded off, down 30% from peak? I dont think that far, but probably more like 15-20%. All healthy stuff for a future all time classic. Its still very young.

There was a lot of momentum behind the price escalation and a lot of cars were priced based on the momentum, not real transactions.
Here's another data point - a very clean 04 with 14k miles recently traded in the high $500s.

Car sold a couple years back out of Newport Beach. I remember he had to press Porsche to get the color/rims and the calipers (black) painted. I posted a picture a few years back with mine and his in the shop for service.

10% profit - I don't know or care what someones profit is and if that's considered in your 30% market adjustment ... then we can agree to disagree.

Good luck trying to afford one, you seem to be trying real hard so ill give you that!!
The market will right itself, 911's will go down, the CGT will go up over time no doubt about it. That simple. Thats exactly what that thread talks about. Not this car, but overpriced 911's. Goodbye.
