some of this is very nice work, some of it is quite 'ordinary'. They have also done race car work for Audi.

The highest quality work I have seen has been done by Horacio Pagani's company PCR. Sometimes it seems like the difference between a craftsman and an artist.

Didn't ATR go bump earlier this year? - forcing a halt to Lamborghini LP640 production until a few of the manufactureres could sort out an arrangment with the administrators and run the place under licence?

If that was the case then all supplier liability will have evaporated and Porsche will be on their own with this issue.

Aaaarrggg! After my prior post stating "not a hint of yellowing" in my CGT, I rolled it into the bright sun at Road America's Porsche Park last weekend and discover both door panels and side pockets have yellowed (though neither the tub nor side panels in the engine bay). "Gold carbon" would work with the terracotta interior except for the fact that the rest has not changed from original. The contrast sucks.

My car is sooo yellow everywhere else that I don't think I'll be able to tell if my carbon fiber does this some day.

At least it's not likely to clash!

I hate to be the one to tell you, but it is only going to get much worse! Send me a PM with your number, I would like to talk to you... My attorney is preparing a lawsuit that will include everyone at Porsche that had anything to do with the CGT down to the salespeople at the dealership...I am taking a 'shotgun' approach with this lawsuit...Anyone know Ben Keaton's family attorney info??? I have some information that could help their case out...

Thats very interesting, thats the only place that was yellow on the car I saw. (see original post) The rest of the interior and engine tub were not yellow AT ALL. Maybe the resolution is as simple as just changing the door interior panels.

That is how my car started too...I give it six to eight months before that entire interior/engine bay turns yellow....I have spoken with over 60 CGT owners so far and they are all starting to experiencing the same issue.... I sold all my Porsche stock this morning...when word gets out about Porsche not complying with their warranty things are going to get rocky in that camp! I am also contacting several state and federal automotive agencies to file a complaint against Porsche.

PAG was responsible for spec'ing the resins and actually owns the patent on a few of them that were used in the CGT (and manufactured by Bayer). Cytec supplied these to ATR in the form of prepreg. But either way Porsche is still responsible. If they want to pass the blame onto their suppliers it is not our problem.

The case against Ben's estate was dismissed a few months ago.

Phewww.., I knew there was a reason why I sold my CGT! I'm glad I won't be affected or caught up in this nightmare ordeal! Hopefully something like this won't happen to any of my replacements! Magwheel

I do see yellowing in the engine bay. I'll need to take a closer look at the interior. Keep me posted.

Angry Mellow Yellow

Thanks VR, Appreciate the comp!

What are you going to do? Abandon ship and jump to a new Marque?

The CGT was a unreal car! I'm just am able to take the F430s out everyday (almost) with a little less hassle and a more normal driving atmosphere. I hope you get your situation straightened out without too much stress and strain! Mags

Before you guys get all giddy over Ferrari, the CS had carbon fiber issues as well, and a lot were not covered under warranty. Mine was, but only because of the relationship with the dealer. Apparently, some CGT owners have had it replaced as well...take that FWIW.

Sweet car Mag, that one's a keeper !!!

Too bad you didn't offer your shares here on Rennlist - bet you could have garnered above market value. Would have bought quite a few shares myself.

Hope things work out well for you - the Carrera GT was the only Porsche that I would have ever considered purchasing as a new car... and it was certainly priced quite a ways above my paygrade.
