Default Clear side marker for Carrera GT

Is there a clear side marker available for the Carrera GT to replace the orange one on USA cars? I looked at the Euro parts screen for the GT and it appears that it does not have a side marker or maybe I just could not find it? Anyone have any idea?

I guess I can put a euro bumper cover on, it list's for $11,000 but the dealer told me he could give me the wholesale price at $9,000, what a deal. It's made out of plastic, not carbon fiber.

don't do it. plastic would look far worse than any CF with non-clears. Just my $.02 though...

I don't dislike the side markers that much to pay 9,000 to get rid of them.

Clear side markers are a phenomenon derived of European side markers. On cars where the side marker tooling is reused between markets, both orange/yellow (USA) and clear (ROW) lenses are produced and fitted to cars going to their respective markets.

The Carrera GT features side-mounted yellow LED turn signal repeaters aft of the front wheel as a Euro-compliant design element and there is no way to make them serve dual duty with USA DOT marker/reflector requirements. Thus, an additional marker/reflector was added for USA-bound CGTs.

A Euro front bumper cap is the only method to "go clear" using factory parts.

You can always have it painted to match the body paint, since they don't make a clear one.

What are the all the differences between US Spec CGT's and Euro Spec versions ?

With even US spec cars being shipped back to the factory for Euro conversion to be sold to Euro based customers - I am wondering what is involved apart from the front bumper cover ?

I am looking at buying a US spec CGT for personal import into Australia.
