Hi Mike, congrats on the GT3. That's a awesome car. Yes, I still have the Viper, and I just got a Nissan Titan so I can tow my vechicles too the out of town track days.
BTW, I had some great seat time this fall in my friends 964 C2 and his brother's 03 996. His brother just took delivery of a 997S. I probably would have bought a GT3, but the 997 is still quite a machine and made more sense for him as it is his only car.

The same could be said for going in circles over and over, especially when the cars are governed to keep speeds down. I am not a huge fan of watching racing, but I think it is all fun to do. I like runing my cars at the strip, autocross, and on various tracks around the country. I think it would be pretty damn exciting to feel the accelleration in a top fuel funny car or dragster.

The part where the 'going in circles over and over' guys get credit is for A) running at 200mph within INCHES of a concrete wall in HEAVY traffic while literally inches from the bumper of the car in front of them(and probably with one just as close behind them), and B) because they like to 'touch' at those speeds.
NASCAR drivers are a different kind of nutty, but they're definitely extremely brave and skilled individuals.
It's like the old Valvoline Commercial when they have Mario Andretti, Mark Martin, and Joe Amato sitting next to each other tossing barbs. LOL, that's one of my all time faves.

Hey Jim-if you have ne planned track events lmk. I plan to go both days with Green Flag Sept 17/18(sat/sun) at T-hill. Regards. Mike PS-GT3 is a mity fun car at the track but for the street and esp San Francisco-it's barely tolerable. I had to get a Mini for daily driving around town since it aint fun driving in the city.
