As some of you might know, I'm building a 4-liter 4-valve 4-cam naturally aspirated engine, not for commercial purposes, but for my own car. As we start to test for longevity and, of course, not spending the amount of money spent by Singer on the DLS (I've heard $25 million, $50 million, even $70 million, though none of these numbers may be accurate), and as you are the Singer experts, do you know anything about life span of the DLS engine? I've heard that it might have to be rebuilt every 3000 miles at a substantial cost! Is this true and is that what I should expect due to the issues associated with a 4-valve? Thank you.

Do any of the Singer experts have an answer to my question?

I hate to say this - but I'm sure the people with the DLS on order (or in possession) are so drunk on the Kool Aid that they won't know the answer nor admit the company (or car) has any faults. Not that a service interval is fault of any kind in my humble opinion...I suspect they either just don't care or don't know.
