some countries (eg. Switzerland) have stringent inspection & emission standards, hence an option to retain the 3.6 displacement.

Correct. Biggest swing is the engine option. But I think generally 4.0 is the way to go. Singer definitely pushes it. And once you get the 4.0, they say you need the ceramics . . .and so it goes.

ah, no I was serious.

I had one with that setup, it was great, but it's severely lacking in comparison to the 4.0 with 6speed I've got now.

leave out the interior and have them go lightweight as hell and then the 3.6 would be fun

Did they say no?
This is the build I would do, but possibly add the 6sp, and maybe the ohlins.
A stripper with a 3.6 sounds super fun!

If you're interested...I can probably have a chat with them and see if they'd be good to roll on a Mooty spec...

OK.
I chatted with Singer this week, I think I'm going to pull the trigger.

The only issue is...they cannot provide a test drive, and I can't drop this kind of money on a car I've never driven.
I'm using all of my contacts from my time at MotorTrend to try and find a Bay Area, LA, or anywhere owner who would let me drive their car (I know a HUGE ask), but without a drive it's a nonstarter to order.

I'm also hoping to discuss the owners journey during their build process, and document my own build through possibly a podcast.
Thoughts?
Am I crazy?

So much money just for instant gratification. Bite the bullet and wait the 2 years. 850k would probably get you a lot of special wishes.

Would love to hear how many people got their cars in 2 years? Seems to be more like 3 years from what I've seen...if you go nuts even with the known options and then include sales tax you run up pretty close to this number (my admittedly limited understanding)
