Default Jerry Seinfeld article

Great article in the new Automobile with Jerry Seinfeld "testing" the new CGT. My son and I went to a show of his last year and wanted to ask him during the Q&A session if he had ordered one but he never picked on me...

It seems to me that Seinfeld made many more accurate and insightful observations than most of the other CGT articles I've read. His comments about the "feel" of the car because of the pushrod suspension and how a driver interacts more with a car like the CGT with the conventional H shifter as opposed to a paddle shifter were right on target. I've driven open wheel race cars with the pushrod suspension and they have a distinct "feel" to them. I've also driven a 360 Ferrari on the track at Laguna with the paddle shifter and for the track it is perfect but for the street it is boring with no driver interaction. Seinfeld also mentioned that he thought Porsche didn't build fantasy cars but real cars you can take on trips and drive everyday, again this is really accurate. To bad most writers don't have ability to tell it like they see it rather than a watered down politically correct article. Not bad for a guy who can't master his domain.

I hope he continues to do write ups (but he is a Porsche freak so I doubt he will do them for other marquees...)

I agree that Seinfeld's article was well written. I found it much more informative (not to mention entertaining) than other previews of the CGT in car magazines.

It's partially because his enthusiasm for the car & company are evident. Car journalists have to pretend they are non-biased and objective. Seinfeld has no such constraints! His article made me really want to experience one of these things...

Nice article. He does hit the nail right on with his comments on "feel", and quality etc. I never knew Seinfeld was a Porsche addict. That's so cool.

He has so many Porsche's he needs a warehouse to store them in and a staff to drive them around the block every so often so they don't sit and rot. I'm not exagerating either.

Is it Seinfeld of Leno that has the very first and last aircooled 911's?

Remember reading it was one of them but unsure which.

For some unknown reason, it seems to me that Jay Leno has some kind of aversion to Porsche. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Jerry on the other hand, is a Porsche Fanatic. Sounds like some people I knoe.

It was Seinfeld who has the last aircooled 911. He bought it at Circle Porsche in Long Beach. It has a plaque signed by F. Porsche.
