Brant: I'm using Otiker swing couplings (for safety) with normal NPT adapters on a Goodyear high pressure hose. Works great.

Stujelly, glad you're enjoying the car the pics look great!

Most welding applications don't use these kinds of pressures so it tends to be a little unusual ranges on the regulator. I use a hing pressure cage disconnect that rotates 90 degrees to connect. It can't come loose and fly around with 500psi rocketing it around, and it keeps someone from hooking a regular airline to the hi pressure bottle to air up a tire or fill an air tank with explosive results...

I bought a Legacy brand coupler, but it did not fit right. The Dixon brand does. Go figure. 500 psi rated. Used the yellow "gas" Teflon tape when connecting the fittings.

...fyi, I went to the local Parker Hose and Fitting store and had them make me a hose out of flexable hydraulic hose (good for like 2k psi). It's been a few years ago, but I think it cost me about $150 for 40 foot hose.

That is what I am trying to get my head wrapped around. Their big tanks are co2 only.

With the help of this forum I am slowly getting my head wrapped around this

It would be nice to work out a group buy for a turn key kit. Regulator, hose, couplings all set up and even a nice tank

We bought our regulator at our local Airgas dealer, as for hose, buy what the pros use and don't be disappointed. Paoli air hose available through the NA Paoli distributor Metalure in El Segundo, Ca. Indycar, G-A, F1 all depend on Paoli and it's really not that expensive.

Chrcook- is a pressure washing hose at 1/4 ok to use? Is there enough volume?

It's working fine for me. I specifically went with a 1/4 hose & fittings to minimize volume in the line. Also, this was the reccomendation from a Grand Am team from whom I mooch guidence and help.
