Default WTB Nitrogen hose and 450 psi Nitrogen regulator

Anyone got a spare regulator and hose to operate air jacks?

Granger has both, look for a nitrogen purge regulator and Goodyear "gator" high pressure hose. Hose is about $100 regulator about $250...

Thanks, I'll check. That seem quite a bit cheaper on the regulator than I've seen.

High pressure regulators tend to be harder to find, it's an uncommon inlet/outlet pressure range. The one I found is for nitrogen purging for AC, it's a smith 4000psi inlet 0-450 outlet. I've seen them as low as $110. Its at the top of the delivery range, but it works the same as a $600 reg off the welding rig. You do have to replace the outlet fitting but that's a $3 fitting. I put a high pressure cam lock fitting so only the air lance hose fits.

Thanks, I bought that unit yesterday from Grainger, now searching for the hose and I'll be good. I'm trying to find a hose that's not so bulky as some high pressure hoses. I've found a couple but need to make a decision

Jerry,

The 1/4" Goodyear "gator" is a good choice, if you need a real long one you may want a 3/8" but it's much bulkier. The rubber hoses are much more pliable than the hpe plastic that suck when cold. Don't scrimp on quality, a split hose or broken fitting whipping around with 500 psi is dangerous...for that reason only use stainless fittings, couple bucks more but don't split or wear out...imho...

Jim do you mean Gorilla hose? I have used the Gorilla high pressure yellow hose before. Never heard of Goodyear Gator. What color is it?

Why don't you just check with your local Nitrogen distributor. I bought my tank and reg/hose from my welding supplier.

I'm suprised that you can't get this where you get your tanks from...

Local welding supplier wanted around $400 for the regulator. I bought the one Jim suggested, from Grainger for $145 delivered. I'll check out the Gorilla hose, thanks Bob and Jim

Default Goodyear Gorilla

The yellow Gorilla hose is the only one I have found that is rated for 500 psi. Note that is a working rating. I turned off the nitrogen bottle at the end of the day last Saturday but did not disconnect the hose to relieve pressure. The good news is that my connections to not leak and the pressure was held overnight. The bad news is that the hose is not capable of holding that pressure that long.

Ordered a new hose from Amazon. It's gone up more than $30 since I bought one.

All my fittings are rated for 500 psi, and they were not easy to find either!

I have been searching for the same thing,

Powertank has the regulator and hoses for N2, not sure of the rating, but will check now. I like how clean their hoses and regulators look.

This is good info,

BTW, jim the 944 has been a blast. Still running strong. Cant thank you enough.....

Just picked up a Smith's 450psi regulator on Amazon: $80, no shipping or tax.
