Default 996 cup questions...

Few quick questions, is there a factory 996 cup location/circut for a transponder? (AMB), do you guys pin the doors on or run them without the pivot bolts? (I was a little suprised backing the car off the trailer when I opened the door and found myself holding the whole door in the air with my left hand and backing the car down with my right...) and who is the best source for a drivers window? (don't really need it but would like to have in case of rain...)

I have my transponder mounted to the inside of the front fender well and tapped into a power source in the truck. I use the pivot bolts for the doors. As for drivers windows the price from PMNA is not cheap, I had my shop fabricated them for me for half the price. I t was pretty easy to do.

OEM isinside of driver's fender wheel riveted to frame rail. There should be a circuit there for it somewhere.....

Many early 6-cup racers learned the hard way how easily a unbolted CF door can fly off at speed. I remember one spiraling up off the cup in front of me on the banking at Cal Speedway several years ago. We were at around 160 and remarkably he found it on the infield grass and bolted it back on the car with a little duct tape. Expensive mistake....

You're in the bleeping desert and you want to seal the car up? I think I raced my cup twice before I cut out the windows....

You can remove them completely, I just cut them with a jig saw or dremel along the black perimeter line leaving a 2" black edge....
