The upshifts would be at full throttle in most cases, (no lift upshifts like on the 997cup) so blipping on upshifts would be irrelevant.

Absolutely -- in our case its SWOL -- shift with out lift.

The power cut strategy is quite complex as it uses a mixture of fuel and ignition cut, then waits for the shift confirmation from the gbx then reinstates power in an adjustable manner. Meaning the power reinstatement ramps up. But generally speaking, the shift cut strategy is limited to speed the gbx will allow just before braking parts.

mathes system doesn't do any blip upshift. i stay full throttle and shift when my shift light comes on. i think it's caliberated to give 28% throttle on downshift. you can actually change that by turning few screws that links the sequential shifter and accelerator...

Great Post and I'm glad to hear that the system worked.

By the way did you guys notice the brake bias adjustment after the start of the Video??

@ condorman,

beautiful rs! i'm waiting for mine. it's due july. how do you like driving it. also, talking about break bias. i only had my cup car less than a year and i have not touched the break bias ****. which way is front break bias? CW or CCW? the arrow on the dash is very ambiguous.

Thanks.

What colour did you order your RS in? I have ordered Black (Special Order) with Red. The pic in my avatar is photoshopped.

For the brake bias, turn it left to go to the front brakes and right for the rear brake.

To check your settings on the Motec dash screen there is a BB+ which indicates the setting. Please note that number is always different from car to car, depending on how your mechanic set the brakes up.

Do you have any video footage of you driving your Cup with the Throttle Element in operation?

I ordered light blue. It was special order too. Otherwise I would have it by now. Haha. It delayed the production by two months.
I don't have the video of manthes. But I could take video clip next time I go up there.
By the way thanks for the tip on break bias ****! So counter clockwise rotation is bias to front? I'm gonna take a white paint pen and mark it. I hate the feeling in the car "which way is the front bias". Hahaha!

No probs!

Counter clockwise is to the front.

Have you got a manual for the Cup??

If you want one, I have it on PDF and I can email it to you. Just PM if you want it.

BTW when you say light Blue, Special order? Which colour light blue? and did you go red or White Gold for the decals/Wheels?

Color is I think riviera blue (aka Sally carrera blue) with black decal and rims. I have a orange RS so I wanted something more "subtle" haha
