Must be quite a comission for the salesman! Definetly exaggerated. Fabiano's crap is way overpriced and he's an arrogant creep. Do a search for applications fellow 911 owners are happy with.
Enjoy your new car!

I drive a 952 turbo car and have Fabiani's 3" exhaust on my car and it made a big improvement.

It is well made of good material, it fits well and it looks and sounds nice.

I agree on the self-absorbed part for JF, but he's selling exhausts and, luckily, not himself.

Robbonds,
Went with a stainless steel GHL set up. It's lightweight, beautifully made, reasonably priced-and sings.

I have Fab bypass pipes on my 993 turbo. They are too pricey for what you get, and as for a performance increase I cannot say that I noticed any. I got them to lose the weight and improve the sound. The stock turbo is much to quiet (I need to hear the engine at all RPM's to facilitate smooth shifting). Beyond idle the engine roar decreases due to sound attenuation caused by turbo spin up. The pipes are very well chromed and bimonthly polishing keeps them looking good. I have had them for 2 years.
All considered I recommend them.

25/25 is probaly real close .................to what you gain at the flywheel, i see the big claims but very few dynos to back them up, porshce systems are damn good to begin with, i only recomned exhuast changin to customers who are looking for the sound more then the hp

First, I have a Fabspeed exhaust on my 996. It sounds a lot different from the sound files online. It is much deeper. It has a low rumble at idle. It is a lower/deeper pitch than PSE when it revs. It is actually quieter than PSE at high rpms. There is no resonation at cruise, but there is some sound when cruise at 80+. You occassionally get some resonation at light throttle under slow acceleration, but it goes away as soon as you hit your cruise speed. It isn't uncomfortable though.

Since you have a 997S, those gains are actually pretty realistic. If you had a regular 997, I would be throwing up the BS flag. The majority of the gains is really from the headers on your car. Don't expect more than 10 hp from mufflers. The regular 997S headers are terrible. You can easily research this. They are far more restrictive than the stock 996/997 3.6l headers. The new 997S X51 headers look exactly like the stock 996/997 headers, except with larger tubing. Stock 996/997 headers would even make a good gain on your car. Be sure to get their V-band clamps for your tips. It makes it a lot easier to line up the exhaust tips. Liining up the exhaust tips was the most difficult/time consuming part of the install.

I have the Fabspeeds mufflers only on my GT3. I may have picked up 5-6 HP, but the sound is much improved.

I had the fabspeed exhaust on my 996 cab and it sounded great. Since the cab is for sale now, I have put back the stock exhaust and there is a huge difference in the car - it's just a lot more boring now and doesn't have a whole lot of 'presence'...Love that low rumble and while the stock exhaust isn't too bad at very high RPMs, it's nothing like it was when the fabspeeds (which are in the classifieds btw ...) were on.

I had the Fabspeed Cat bypass on my 965 Turbo, much deeper exhaust sound but not much notice of power gain....

I have Fabspeed mufflers on my 997 C2S and love the sound. I did it only for sound as I can;t feel any difference on normal street driving. Fabspeed mufflers are very well bult and not crap (Sonny!)

My brother has a full fabspeed system (headers, cats, mufflers etc) on his 996 GT3. We've noticed a significant increase in power and it sounds f**king mental!

I've got a fabspeed euro premuffler and monty muffler on my 911 and i'm happy with the results.
