That's the cleanest work bench background I've seen in a while :-) I love my carbon fiber console...I just have to find a way to modify it so I can showcase the Numeric shifter - its too pretty to cover up

It may be possible to sand and re-clear. However, there is a potential to sand thru and damage the carbon fiber. The best option IMO is to refinish the console in body color and keep the hand brake side panel and ash tray in carbon fiber.

Aside from the shattering... any of the clips or anything on the inside damaged?

What happens if you rub a little water on the cracks? Do they go away or are they still visible? Any idea if this goes thru the clear coat and into the resin? More importantly... what's the underside like? The damage visible from the inside?

Thanks!
