Timing help
Hello all, I'm hoping to get some resolution on this timing issue for my 2015 Panamera (970) V6.
I had a timing chain issue and changed it, following the workshop manual guide. I bought the kit for the timing chain service and locked the crankshaft with locking pin and placed the camshaft locking tool in place before disassembly. Only thing I think I may have erred on was that I loosened up the cam locking tool before fully fastening the pulleys to the camshaft on Bank 1 (left side) though tI did rotate it back and fastened them back down before completing the task. I got the car altogether and it seemed to run fine but within about 30 miles it threw a check engine light. Running the codes revealed A camshaft position - timing over-advanced or system performance Bank 1. Then Bank 2 decided to join the act. Delving a little deeper I also found VVT Monitor Bank revealed a test value of 39.37º on Bank 1 and 34.12º on Bank 2.
When I check live data (engine running) the timing angle is -19.5º.
I swapped the sensors from 1 bank to the other and still same readings. Am I going to have to tear the front end down again to rectify this issue? Or is there a more easily accessible way to modify this?

OK, I was dreading that. I was hoping it was another issue. Perhaps locking it again and loosening the sprockets for the camshafts and advancing it 20º or so should bring it back in correct timing? Since BOTH banks are out of correct timing?

Dealer diagnosis was timing system and quote was $17k so I took it upon myself to do myself. I had to buy a few more specialty tools like the cam and crank-shaft locking tools and the tool to hold the main pulley to R&R the nut. Anyways, bought all the parts did it an here we are.

Not sure on turning anything a certain amount of degrees. There should be marks on things to set the timing. Look up Samcrac on YouTube he did a video on doing this job. It might be helpful.
