Default Will 971.2 tail lights work in a pre facelift 971 Panamera gts?

I like the single bar look on the new updated Panamera and would like to install them on my car. Will the plug-in harness and programming work on an older model 2020 Panamera. I know the new lights do a dance when powering up. Will this work or does it need to programmed into the older car to work?

never mind found an old thread showing the different shape on the tailgate of the new lights

jfyi, they are making aftermarket one that looks like it. I am awaiting for my first copy of it, as i m awaiting for it . They are aftermarket and isn't OEM, so i m waiting as they told me they are still figuring out some wiring issue, but it will work and look like 971.2

sounds like a good idea but aftermarket will never compare to OEM Porsche

you will be surprise lmao! The light isn’t cheap anyway. It isn’t like 300-400 bucks more like 1800-1900 for the set. I bought the sport design kit and it is basically 1:1. My friend pick up the turbo spoiler and it is the same as factory. If you paying lower then the quality is lacking but anything for these high end car the quality is always spot on and the fitment is good.

I can't wait until you get your hands on it and post a review. I would be interested to purchase one for my vehicle as I prefer the amber turn signals. I tried purchasing the Euro Tinted Tail Light kit but was told the wiring was different though I'm sure I could have repinned them but I did not have PPN workshop access then.

I would also be interested to see if this aftermarket tail light kept the rear fog light, or even better, have that rear fog on both sides.

just don’t expect it will be cheaper. They made 970.2 for 970.1 and it cost about 1k. The 971.2 solution will be around 1800-2k from what they told me.

As long as the quality and functions are good, that sounds like where I expected it to be.

Factory 971 lights cost 1495 usd from suncoast parts. 971.2 cost $1100. These should be around that price
