• Video in motion - Allows you to play videos from DVD or USB/SD card while driving
• Voice control activation - if your car left the factory without it

@simaservis1108 is the real deal. I have worked with him on multiple projects --totaling well over 12 hours working with him between my P car and my other VAG vehicles. I have to reiterate the praise that @Chimuel is giving because he was the one that referred @simaservis1108 to me. I was struggling with a map update that ultimately could have probably been sorted at the dealership BUT who has time for that?!? He was able to do a full map database update (as normal civlians, we can only do 3 package updates for states/regions/etc). The dealership should be able to get you that SD card but @simaservis1108 will save you the agro of waiting for it in the mail and having to do it yourself. For me it was a solution that ended months of striking out that i think many will experience when these cars change hands. I now have fullscreen CarPlay in addition to the same PCM software that's in the wife's '21.If i am not mistaken, in a nutshell, PCM 4.0 is not as cool as PCM 4.1 AND fullscreen CarPlay is the real deal because my OCD can't handle the side radio widget.

The entire process was about as painless as possible. The moment i told him i had the needed hardware he made the time to help me out when i think it was Saturday evening where he lives! He's the kind of person you want to support...just read the opening thread. He's a forum sponsor now, it's all kosher. I told him he would see the benefits immediately and that because i was so happy, i told him i would spread the word. And yeah...i told him to charge more too! so don't go beating him up over pricing or asking if he will flash your PCM and if you in turn you will blog about him!

Sad to report that Android Auto has been broken with the recent updates to it -- Carplay full screen still works at least!

Just had all the updates done with @simaservis1108 . He is great to work with! I now have unlimited map updates which he says will auto update OTA over the next week or so. Here are before and after photos!! Highly recommend.

It makes me happy to see the support for this person. I am not a technical guru. I think I'm kind of an idiot actually. I was tired of spending hours trying to make this work buying into the dealers telling me that I had to bring the car in when I didn't. This person helped me out and since then it has been nothing but smiles.

Totally agree -- glad @simaservis1108 is getting a lot of support around here!

He had to re-do some of the coding after I had lost some functionality (Android Auto and Voice functions -- probably video in motion too now that I think about it) on my car after the dealer did the WMJ61 Seat Control Unit Reprogram campaign. Interestingly, full screen Apple Carplay was not disabled so that was good. I think sim kept a backup for my car and was able to restore it in less than 10 mins.

Anyway, that is my experience --word of warning for those that go in to the dealer for these recalls: beware they may change your PCM back to stock!

EDIT: I finally got a hold of the Motorola MA-1 wireless Android Auto adapter and it works great with the PCM:

Another one in the books for @simaservis1108 He made the install easy for me and held my hand the entire way. Full screen looks amazing, maps updated and the price is right. Don’t hesitate to contact him and most importantly don’t overpay with others. As others have said, he’s an expert if problems arise (as it did with mine) and that’s what you want.
