Activation of Matrix Headlights - US

I believe you have to have the option code 8IU or 8JU to have PDLS+ with matrix -- could you confirm on your build sheet?
From what I've been able to look up, there are PDLS+ options without matrix (8G1, 8G4), then the LED lights with PDLS (8IS), Standard LEDs (8IT) and then PDLS+ LED Matrix/Black variants (8IU, 8JU).
From what I've been able to look up, there are PDLS+ options without matrix (8G1, 8G4), then the LED lights with PDLS (8IS), Standard LEDs (8IT) and then PDLS+ LED Matrix/Black variants (8IU, 8JU).
Edit: I should add - I do see matrix as an option and enabled under Settings > Vehicle > Lighting > Exterior Lighting, but on the road, headlights behaved as adaptive high-beam assist only, which essentially de/activates high-beams in their entirety, rather than matrixes, depending on upcoming traffic.

Reading that Cayenne thread it looks like only one guy got it to actually work and several others have been unsuccessful? The video he posted of the matrix lights in action is pretty sweet though.

So far, only one person started to test it, but his independent mechanic only had an official PIWIS connected to PPN. I don't think that's gonna work. The user did not want to connect a modified PIWIS to his car.

971 (2018) with PDLS+ here.
Followed @runbuh 's instructions on the Cayenne thread (coded to / from FAHRLICHTSCHALTUNG, LICHTASSISTENZSYSTEME, LINKS-/RECHTSVERKEHR, TYPPRUEFLAENDER), and can confirm it did NOT successfully activate matrix for me.
FWIW I do not have LKA or ACC, so my front camera may be light sensing only for high-beam assist vs. recognition.

Did you leave 8G4 configured after the second round of coding? Were the Panamera settings even the same as the Cayenne? Evidently 992's are slightly different.

Thanks for venturing over to the Panamera forum @runbuh . I would be glad try out intersection lighting if you could share the control unit / coding value(s)! I did enable Crossing Assistant under BCM1 but that is using the ultrasonic parking distance sensors.
Re: Matrix, I followed your steps using E mode on Piwis 3 v38.25 in the 4 following settings under Add. Menu / Maintenance of Vehicle Data
Re: Matrix, I followed your steps using E mode on Piwis 3 v38.25 in the 4 following settings under Add. Menu / Maintenance of Vehicle Data
- FAHRLICHTSCHALTUNG from 8K5 (USA) to 8K8 (ROW) back to 8K5
- LICHTASSISTENZSYSTEME from 8G1 (PDLS+ Fernlichtassistent) to 8G4 (inkl. Matrix-Beam) and left unchanged at 8G4
- LINKS-/RECHTSVERKEHR from AV2 (NAR) to AV1 (Rechtsverkehr) back to AV2
- TYPPRUEFLAENDER from B34 (USA) to B02 (Belgein) back to B34
I don't have those features on my Cayenne, either, but I had previously enabled other features on my car (intersection lighting, for example). Maybe that's part of the difference.

What year Panamera do you have? I thought 2019+ models required PIWIS 40.xxx to do full coding?

I have a 2018. No issues in v38.25 in E mode. I can try to code in V mode in v41.10 too.

Off topic but I'm interested in the Crossing Assistant -- mind sharing how that is done?

Yet another standard safety option on most cars that we don’t get.
