My point is that if you set them up right you don't have to be scared of them, and you can get the newer ones with more hp, aero already on them and a warranty. Just slap on some tires, set that bad boy up, and go to work. The engines are stout, gear ratios aren't great, but easily changed. Fairly easy to make faster and tons of upside should you decide to go further. Speaking of which, you can get the Gen III for around 40-45k. I think the Gen IV with a set of Moton's would be an outstanding DE cup car.

No, it was not Enrique. He was from the Midwest somewhere. Good driver though. Might get to battle him at the Glen if I can make it.

Trackcar,

I would rather have a Z/28 prepared by Katech but to each their own.

[QUOTE=TRAKCAR;10393547]I love Chevy!

LOL

One of the Eccentrics is showing up this year with an 09' Z06, Coilovers, light weight rims, R comp tires, Akro exhaust, and upgraded brakes.
Should be interesting....
10k in upgrades, car used was about 60k.....

Now if that same person buys a Vette or Viper it could very well be a different story.

When the "ring" time comes out...I hope you have a good cookbook for "Crow"...this thing is going to punish cars that cost 3x times more and you can fit granny and the kids while doing it.

3600 on low fuel, and GT3 are already going over 3,200 lbs.

More weight on the wheels than a GT3, so better traction, massive torque, massive power, massive wheels, massive tires, massive brakes, it is going to eat quite a few Aero Beetles.

maybe your scale is fat to begin with. My RS in full weight never weighted that, my GT2 doesn't weight that much.
Looking forward to seeing this happen.

What is the weight of a gt3? gt3rs? 4.0?

wouldnt one be better off buying a late model Z06 vs. a new Z28?

C7 Z51 seems very close to z06 speed but better build for less. On paper.
