I didn't realize there are two Big Y's in the area. Actually the one I was thinking of is at 1180 Thorndike Street Rt., Here's a link to it's location:

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...&t=h&z=16&om=1

As you make the right turn you can see the two buildings on the left. We can meet at the very end of the parking lot.

No worries Fred, probably a good thing this was discovered now rather than on Sunday.

There's a chance I may end up showing up after all. Hopefully the Red Sox can win early tonight so we can get some sleep and get up early.

At least you didn't set your alarm clock to go off at night instead of the morning. I missed this.

Awesome day, guys!

Afshin - (chuckle chuckle), Sorry man, had to. Seriously though, thanks for taking point.
John - Nice car, love the interior - thanks for letting me check it out!
Bill - Nice meeting you both, love the green color on the 996.
Charlie - Glad you were able to make it, pleasure meeting you.
Carl - Can't say enough how much a pleasure it was getting behind the wheel of a 928 S4! Wow, that's such a nice ride, can't say enough about the exhaust sound!

While it was a longer day than I originally thought, it was a great way to spend it. Looking forward to the next one.

Last week, I was one of the newest cars, today I think I was the oldest one.

Yes, nice to meet some new faces and take a spin in Fred's '84 cab. The 911 experience: vintage stuff and I can see how it grows on you. Fun day.

Great drive today, definitely a good time and perfect weather. Sweet looking rides, great to look in the rear view and see another P-Car right behind.

Other than the start of the drive I'd say it went well today.

Thanks for posting the pics Charlie, they look great. When you have a chance can you email me a couple of the full size pics. e-Mail: afshinn@hotmail.com

We'll have to set up another drive time (mother nature) permitting.

Guys

I told my wife yesterday afternoon after returning that the fun run was one of those "its great to be me" moments. I had a blast and enjoyed meeting y'all; I look forward to the next opportunity. Even Linden (the tempermental teen) said she enjoyed it more than she thought she would, although she's not at all happy about the photographic moment that Charlie captured!!!

Count me in anytime you want to do something similar again; Afshin and I briefly discussed road tripping over to Lime Rock and back for a race next spring; the roads and scenery are as good if not better through the Litchfield Hills and not that much further.
