This will definitely happen so long as the weather holds up! It scheduled for 10/28/07 and I'm thinking a good meeting time would be around 9:00AM. I know many will be traveling from a few hours away so this hopefully be late enough for everyone to wake up and get there. There are a few people which haven't posted but have expressed interest so we should see a good showing of P-Cars.

Am still interested if the weather holds.

Will be seeing if I can do the Cape run this weekend also.

What's the latest on this? Is it still on? Have you finalized a meeting time and place?

Also, any idea of when we'd wrap it up? (i.e. finish time)

Thanks,
Charlie

Arrow Update

Not sure if anyone else is in as of yet.

Meeting Location: Big Y Parking Lot (Rt 32)
Meeting Time: 9:00 AM with 9:30 Departure Time
Drive: Rt 9 to the 116W to 112S to Rt 9 again into Northampton.

Plenty of great places to eat in Northampton including a Brewery if time permits, otherwise we can split up and take the 91 to our destinations. Depending on how much time everyone has we can also make a stop at the Quabbin Reservoir Park for pictures and brief chat, since I can't predict everyone's schedule we'll have to wait until the day of the drive to decide this together.

I would expect the drive to end around noon as long as we hold to the departure time.

I have a friend who might bring his 944S, we'll see if it's done or not.

Default I'm out.

Unfortunately, I'm out, FYI. A little far for me now that I've mapped the route/coordinates. Thanks for coordinating/organizing, though!

Sorry to say, I must pass for the same reason. I did a quick "Mapquest" and it's about 2 hours to the meeting spot for me.

Thanks for organizing it though.

2+ hours away for me too. Is there any hope of doing it on the other side of the quabin perhaps? Ill probably still come regardless, but getting up that early and putting 500 miles on my porsche in 1 day isnt too appealing to me either.

The location isn't really convenient for me either but that wasn't the purpose. Looking at MA, NH, CT and RI you realize quickly that there aren't many areas that are within a two hour drive which are truly worth your while. I chose this particular area because of the roads, not because it was convenient. I'm also a minimum 2 hours away each way so I'm in the same boat as others. Realistically you won't have many other opportunities to get a good drive in for another 5 months and it really isn't that far.

I will be there unless the weather forecasts rain.

I'm still a go for all the reasons mentioned by Marine Blue. i'm actually looking forward the the 90 minute drive on 90 as much as the winding, picturesque back roads - a great combination of driving that day and as said, probably one of the last ops to do so this fall.

Afshin, can you clarify what town the Big Y is in that is the starting point?

Bill

Bill,

Looking forward to meeting you and the others attending this Sunday. The Big Y is on Rt 32 and the closest town is Palmer. When you make your left on to the 32 heading north you'll drive a couple of miles and see the Big Y on your left, it's hard to miss as the road takes a turn to the right and you can see the store dead ahead.

Weather is looking good for the moment, Sunny and 60!

I'm in...had a trip to NYC planned, but it fell through.

Looks like an hour's drive up 32. No problem.
