Hi Stan - I have a question for you. I am trying to fix a case where the instrument backlights do not work on my 90 S4 when the parking or headlighs are turned on. It looks like the problem is with the fixed resistor that is mounted up above the brake pedal (in series with the BK/BL wire that leads to the cluster. Do you happen to know the what the resistance of that fixed resistor? Thanks,
Dennis
Stan, I'm leaving for FRENZY Friday in the A.M. If you're going down Friday, can we meet up and drive there together?? Give me a call at 609-332-9044 I'm off work till Tuesday..
I contacted you about 16 months ago for help regarding 2 issues on my 928. You were very helpful and saved me hours of filtering through the list. I am in the process of changing garages and have a s4 motor and a 84 parts car that I am looking at scrap price for. I bought it. Drove it to the garage and it has sat since then. Interior is entirely roached. It is a chassis with a motor and trans.
The motor was frozen when I purchased it. Water down the intakes froze the rings. I disassembled the motor, freed my pistons. Bought a set of replacement pistons. That is where it sits. I noticed that the woodruff key was missing.
Do you have any interest in these?
Do you have interest in these? I can email pics if you like. Car and engine are located in Bridesburg/Kensington at the moment.

Hello MrMerlin / Stan,
My name is Mike and I registered to rennlist in order to contact you. I am a newb and have been spending a great deal of time admiring the 928 series of models. I have never owned a Porsche but have wanted one since I was a boy in the 80s. I don't know much and I don't know where to start. You seem to have a reputation of helpfulness and honesty. I'm reaching out to start a conversation that hopefully leads me to owning my first nice car.
I'd supply my email in a private message so it's not in public domain, please let me know if you are open to an exchange and to help.
Thank you,
Mike
Hi Stan, I just bid 9 times on your 1985 928s Samantha and lost out at the end. I was in love with that work of art but couldn't swing that last bid. If for any reason that sale doesn't go through, PLEASE let me know. I would love to buy it. Curious-- are you working on any others you're looking to sell?
