This is like oil threads. I've heard GT engines need no break in and the "break in" is really targeted to new drivers getting used to the car. I've heard they need a break in. There is a break in listed in the owners manual and Porsche says it's for the car but I'm not so sure.
What would I do? I would change all fluids and drive the car. See how loose or tight it is. Cars will tell you what they are ok with. Listen to it. Yes I'm a car whisperer and I can tell
My Touring engine is loose and incredible. My 4RS engine is tighter and starting to loosen up some more but no where near as good as my touring engine...yet anyway. I'll work on making it looser in the spring with 9k pulls on the regular.
Maybe there is some difference in pedal response and or drivetrain lose between Manual and PDK.
Congrats on your car. I enjoyed the back and forth on BAT also. I'm PTGLTW

I will do that. Scheduled for service next week so after that I will know what's up. If not, will just follow same procedure as per the 992 Touring.

If you're really concerned with break-in you can check out
older video. The long and short of it is usually just vary the rpms a lot. Not simple highway cruising at steady speeds in 6th gear at the same revs on cruise control. But also you're not supposed to be doing 0-100-0 testing in the car either. Maybe I'm cynical but the idea that someone owned a GT3 and sold it after 643 miles observed proper break-in procedure would surprise me. But I'm sure there are just as many people hooning new cars and offloading them as people who planned to have it for years or only took them out on gingerly drives. When in doubt consult the manual which I imagine must also come with the car.

Appreciate the video, when it comes back from service I'll have an updated DME and see what she says. This thing was tucked away in someone's collection so can't speak to former owner's driving habbits. I have a few cars and by comparison I have 14 months with my 992 Touring and have 2400 miles on the clock. Can't do more as have to share seat time with my other ponies but I could not fathom it being unbroken in yet. So yes, I may share your thinking there as well. Thank you again. Epic thread.

I've had some very entertaining conversations with both dealers and private parties over the last week. Among the best snippets is: " Well, I have a non PTS 11K mile car ($178K msrp) which is worth $275-$280K, but respectfully, your PTS 600 mile car ($204K msrp) is only worth at best $20 or $25K more" so let's make a deal.
Not sure where one goes from there...
After Sunday I will just let her rip....
