I don't think it will do that much at all, that certainly isn't the intention by PAG.

They have anticipated a double in overall sales volumes (up to 2500 units) here in Australia with the Macan... that's about 1000+ Macan's alone, who knows though only time will tell

I think it looks a lot better than the Cayenne to be honest. Just hoping the taillights aren't as big as the camouflage is....

BTW I love those wheels! They look much better on this car than they do on the 991 Turbo.

Me, too! The wheels are awesome. These are some of the best spy shots.

I cant imagine these rear lights will be on the final product.
the rear is overly raked and the wiper s/b tucked under the wing.
the wheels looks like a nice follow thru on the cayennes sport editions.

They aren't even real lights. Just camouflage. i personally think that it will be more like the GT concept, but without the lightbar between the rear lights. Small and low, more in the line of the 991.

I agree that it would look nicer if the wiper was hidden under the spoiler, but I think that, because of the sloping roof, the wiper motor and its casing would be directly in the view of the rearviewmirror, so it's more a safety issue I guess....

Those wheels are the 991Turbo wheels if I'm correct?

Bastardization?? The Porsche 356 was based on??

The connection between VW and Porsche has always been part of the Porsche heritage and will never disappear and IMO that's a good thing. Using the same platform for multiple vehicle keeps the devolpment costs low and it's proven to be a succes in the past years.
Why develop a completely new car if you have access to an almost perfect base like the Q5. It's the best handling car in it's class, even better than the BMW X3 or the RR Evoque.
When Porsche gets its hand on that platform it's likely to be even better.

I don't see a problem with that, but everyone has a different opinion of course.

The Q5 is lovely, I think the idea of removing the engine every 20K miles to clean it is a great design feature, so great that they have stuck with it and even the latest models come with it as standard.

$70k for a Toureg? Please.

But I'm sure the new generation of Porsche buyers will line up to buy a Poorsh.

I'm willing to bet that those wheels are not actual T wheels, but rather T look wheels.
the former are forged.

Touareg???? The Macan isn't based on the Touareg. Touareg is developed together with Cayenne. The Macan is a lot smaller.

Macan is based on second gen Audi Q5. Tiguan is based on first gen Audi Q5.
