Our 2021 Macan just hit 40k miles ... we just did a regular oil service, so looking to change the plugs and do the 40k PDK service. Any idea what these typically cost? Dealer said $1025 for the PDK service and $425 for the plugs, not sure if that's reasonable or if I should try an independent.

Why not check around and find a good mechanic in your area that is reasonable.

I'm aware that independents are (sometimes) less expensive. (Not always, at least with the highly regarded local independent here.) But with the potential PDK issues I feel as if having the PDK service performed at the dealer is a good idea in case there are problems under warranty so they can't weasel out by saying the service was not performed at the dealer. But one dealer here says $1025 for the PDK service and the other says $650, and I can't tell if they are both talking about the same service. The less expensive PDK service dealer is more expensive on the plugs, so none of this makes a lot of sense, as usual.

There's one dealer here who regularly offers coupons for oil services for $299 on a 4 cylinder and $399 on a six ... not too awful when you factor in the Porsche loaner. Just seems like a good idea while you're under warranty to have the required maintenance done and documented at the dealer. Quote was $650 for the PDK service and $500 for plugs.
