Default Porsche macan cpo 10k free service

I bought a loaner cpo back in march at 4.5k miles. Carfax didn’t show that the first free 10k service was complete. Today when I reached out to my dealership, they said the free service was performed at the time of certification as it is a requirement from Porsche to get certified if the service is due in next 6 months. Is that accurate? I’m a first time porsche owner so don’t know much about how this works.

Now my 20k service is due at 14k miles and I will have to pay $1500+ for it.

Find another dealership if possible or indy. The service includes, oil service, brake fluid flush, and filters (air and cabin).....$1500 is too much......Phil

thanks Phil. Is there anything I can do by talking to the dealership that I was not told at the time of purchase that the 10k service is already done? Carfax doesn’t shows any record of the service either.

Ask the servicing dealer to show you the service records. It makes no sense to burn the 10k service to CPO it. This all sounds like BS to me......Phil

I agree it's probably BS. I bought a CPO with 800 miles on it and was told the same. If it was the message for the next service shouldn't start popping up until next March but it started this September, 11 months from when the car was first put into service. It's possible they did the service and didn't reset the service clock but I'm not buying it. I took it to another dealer and they did the 10K service at no cost.

I am confused. At 800 miles, shouldn't your car have the original warranty? Why would you need a CPO?. Secondly, the first service is always free at any Porsche dealer.

It does have the original warranty, the CPO adds two additional years with unlimited mileage. First service is free, I was told it had been done at 800 miles but I don’t think it was.

I bought a CPO 2023 Macan with 4K miles. An oil service had been done prior to purchase. They had not punched the 10K free service; just an oil change before it was put on the lot. I had it put in writing at the time of purchase that the 10K service was still free for me when the time came. GL.

Easy, it makes the car more attractive. I bought a 2023 with CPO warranty through January 2029. Can't beat that.

According to service manuals the first 10K service is only oil change. No cabin air filters or brake flush as far as I understand. Other items at 10K:
Visual inspection underbody panels
Check Tires
Oil filter
Brake lines (visual)
Brake hoses (visual)
Reset Maintenance Interval
$1500 is definitely too much for basicly and oil change and filter plus some obvious visual stuff.

This does not sound right. I bought my 21' as a demo car with 6k miles that came with 4 years factory + 2 years CPO (dealer made me pay $1k for the CPO which seemed misleading but still did it anyways). When my car hit 10k miles, the service was free. Try another dealer.

I just did my 20k service at indy shop as dealers quoted me $1,300-$1,700 (literally extortion).

OK, I double checked the invoice and they did the 20k service early due to the 2 year mark. Macan has 11k on the clock so it was a time based service. So with this being said your quote is even more ridiculous.....Phil

Boy, did this post strike a nerve. Same thing happened to me, I bought a 23 Macan loaner CPO a month ago with 4k. I asked the dealer repeatedly when the next service is due. He showed me a CarFax that said 10k was just done and he said next service is at 14,000 miles but would be free to me as the dealership always does a 10k service before selling a loaner. Problem for me might be I bought this car 70 miles from where I live and now I have to go to local dealer someday with 14k mile on it and hope it gets done at Porsche cost. Your CarFax didn't show 10k service was done but mine did show it. I wonder how that is going to turn out for me

I bought my 2022 Base CPO last summer with fewer than 4000 miles. When I inquired about the free 10,000 service I, too, was told that part of the CPO process was to do the next upcoming major service so it had already been done. I accepted that explanation at the time but in retrospect it sounds fishy. The car just turned 7k. I think when it hits 10k I will try to schedule the free service. Carfax does show the 10,000 mile service was completed at 3047 miles.
