I ran my CTEK up under the top part of the hood near where the windshield wipers are withoout any pinching or other problems.

FYI, the ground terminal unscrews so you can put the eyelet on it, but the positive terminal will not. It looks like you need a bolt to thread in the top of it to secure the eyelet. Anyone know what size bolt will fit?

Don't know offhand, but it's easy enough to measure it with a metric ruler.

Pictures would probably help a good bit.

You don't need to screw it on; I just used the clip, which IMO is plenty secure.

Here's a picture, sorry about the blurriness. The bolt diameter looks to be about 6mm in diameter, but I'm not sure about the pitch (probably fine, judging from the photo).

This terminal does not unscrew, you need a bolt to attach the eyelet. @tk-porsche , sure you can use the clip, but I've had that detach a couple of times when I've closed the hood.

I never had an issue with the clips getting loose. BTW, the model I have is CTEK - 40-206 MXS 5.0, used on a 2019 Macan base.

For future reference, the bolt which threads into the positive terminal is M8 with a 1.25 pitch. You would need something like a 10-15mm length, 20mm is too long. Looks like I need to pay a visit to a specialty fastener store.

Plenty of places you can order this fastener online. Bolt Depot or McMaster-Carr would both be examples, but the shipping will make the one screw expensive.
