for most of them they patched application and repackaged them by using mkifs tool, then flash it on rcc board on unit to bypass the signature check on FEC file. and that solution has been revealed on internet.
However there is other better way to do that without flashing the rcc board, activation can be purely on application layer and invisible to any daignostic tool.
Don’t need to modify original FEC container with wrong signature.

People are sharing those patched firmware on internet you can try to follow if you are technical but I don’t recommend to do that way

Thumbs up

Longtime lurker, first time poster. In particular I have been following this thread, waiting to see if someone could add Android Auto to a 2020 Macan (PCM5). Yesterday @InnovativeSoft did the installation for me. I now have full screen Android Auto working with my Samsung Galaxy S20. For me, this adds the only missing feature that would have had me look at another car. The customer service was awesome. They helped me identify the few items I needed to purchase to connect my laptop to the car. Once everything I needed arrived, the install process took some time but was straightforward. They walked me through every step of the way. Attached are photos.

That is not the case anymore.Solution has been found by myself, and not bought/copy-pasted.

Thats why it took so long to work it out. Many companies that offer this service outsource somebody to this for them and just implement themselves in the price
Like for example when you see some companies offer it for 1000USD price...

Have you found that your missing lines of text within apps and having to scroll down a lot? From a couple conversations I've had with some of the folks working on this... they've implied that this may be an issue. I also wonder, if they have tried going in to developer mode on Android Auto on the phone, to enable other resolutions, and if it improves things.

On PCM4 that is the issue yes.
On PCM5 Android Auto is 2/3 of the screen so all of the text is normal.
Only when you enable Android Auto fullscreen this happens so I don't promote it.

If you have fullscreen, it will be, but if it is whole screen it actually not as bad as full screen. But on pcm4.1 it is worse.
It actually happens on CarPlay as well, have a look on picture below :

the same picture you will see the differences this is.
so make it whole screen display with 1920x720 will make it much better

Another vouch for simaservis1108, we did the Android Auto update for PCM4 today on our 2018 Base Macan w/o Nav but with Carplay and it took <30 minutes, as long as you have all the equipment he requests from you. Pleasant to work with and communication is very clear. Thanks simaservis1108!

Android Auto installed and working on my 2022 Macan GTS thanks to @simaservis1108 !!! He is great to work with and did a bunch of software updates on my Panamera as well! Highly recommend!!

On my 2018 Panamera it actually says "Android Auto" on the left menu, but he says since the newer Porsche's have the PCM made by a different company it still says Apple Carplay but works just fine.

just let you all know that are two resolutions yob can get for CarPlay and android auto

1. 1772x650 resolution with side bar
2.1920x720 HD without side bar

Full screen 1772x650 with side bar You have very small icon size as it is just stretch the image to one side and icon size stay the same as half screen And this is not HD, although others may claim that is HD

Whole screen will take full display area with HD resolution 1920x720 Icon size is now normal and same as PCM6

also make sure you don’t have fake extra 00060900FEC code being added into your car

Go into engineering mode, go to activation keys

00060800 is for CarPlay 00060900 is for android auto

make sure you don’t have 00060900 in the list as above as your car not suppose to have it and if that is identified by dealer it will be hard to explain.
Because those code also store on Porsche sever.
if your one got a fake 00060900 inserted you may need to remove it before visit dealer for any warranty claim.

It can be whole screen map display in android auto with 1920x720 HD resolution

The split screen cam also be enabled based on users preferences.

How ever if that is just 1772x650 resolution you may face the issue of displaying any 3rd party apps

The full screen size Not only you have extra side bars to take up display area but also cutting the bottom display due to non standard resolution 1772x650

But if you enable 1920x720 resolution just like PCM6, yob will not have that problem , you will have full HD resolution in any apps

I prefer the smaller resolution, keeping buttons on the left side so I can still access vehicle functions if I want to. Only my own personal preference of course.

Yes but, you could have many other way to access vehicle menus

either by Porsche icon or physical button on car it make no difference from the side bar in screen

Whole screen will take full display area with HD resolution 1920x720 Icon size is now normal and same as PCM6

but you will take user experience in next level with 1920x720 resolution

From Panamera but it is the same system PCM5 for macan and cayenne

Plus no fake FEC code inserted for android auto activation
